Couldn't agree with you more Paul, when I drove the capri to sixth from everyday it was a nightmare in the snow!!
Both of mine live outside on a driveway under a stormforce cover all year round, and I'll use it all year too. Don't care about taking it out in the rain or snow, as long as it isn't raining when I take the cover off I'll use it! Took it to work on Christmas Eve last year
The car is never winning any concourse awards so I just enjoy it!

Hi. What kind of cover do you use for your car and dors it suffer from condensation. I got one from halfords which seems ok. Someone told me the expensive covers dont work any better.

Yeah the stormforce stuff tends to last better than some of the cheaper stuff I tried beforehand...
Occasionally it does still have some condensation on the car but I'm not really bothered about it... Good cover though! Got them on both the cars

so I have my little lady in the garage and on looking I have no condensation and wonder if its worth putting a cover on
my neighbour has bought one of these

so I know we always come back to this in the winter but what harm will I do with no cover on the car will it just be dust?

Can't see any other problem except dust and dead insects.
I have 3 bed sheets on the Sierra which I find easier than one big cover. Also if needed I can lift up any one of them to get into the car, bonnet or boot without removing the other sheets

cheers for that I always keep looking thinking what should I do as that old rust can get to the cars .I can live with dust and flys .

It's a good price, but from what I can tell, it's not tailored specifically to fit the Capri. In effect it's just a sheet.....
Although there is an option of having a Ford badge on it.

The Sahara indoor covers are really good.
I've got one I use as a dust cover in the garage and it's just right.

Some cool pics of Capris in the snow. My old 2.0S lived outside under cover though, did use it once or twice. The 3.0S hasn't seen the road since 2005! The Escort is on SORN and in a garage. I'd always worry about others in the snow and ice. My brother and I both had cars written off last year by idiot drivers during the first bit of bad weather.

I like Andy's idea of 3 large sheets to cover the car. Sounds far easier to put on, on your own, and not too much of a faff to put back, that's important if you drive the car frequently especially.

I have an outdoor carcooon. Few hundred quid but super product that has a fan continuously running to prevent condensation etc

Ive just got a Stormforce cover, pretty much the only option as the garage is barely large enough for a motorbike.

I've just had a quick gander at carcoons as I've been thinking about moving on from Stormforce for a while, but looking at the measurements it looks like the size needed to fit a capri would be a size 4, and the outside version comes in at around £600 so might have to start saving for it first!

Got a Storm force one when I first had the car a couple of years ago & they are really good for outdoor use but for indoor use I bought one of these before Christmas & it works really well
