Re: Sunroof out
Yeah it was very good of him to give up his time and though I have done most jobs on cars I have never had to take a sunroof out so it was good to watch someone who knew what he was doing.
I cant blame anyone but myself for the choice of day.

Re: Sunroof out
It wasn't a problem at all. I've taken mine out many many times so it wasn't difficult. Was nice to work on somebody elses Capri for a change. Let me know when you've got the parts and i'll come back and refit it and make sure its not scratching the top and i'll take it away and get it painted up for you.

Re: Sunroof out
Perhaps a 'how to' on removing the sunroof might be a good idea, I'm sure it would help lots of people out? There may already be one, but it sure sounds like you have got this off to a tee.
Re: Sunroof out
Yeah might be worth doing. I have seen other people attempt to explain it but now this photobucket thing has happened their threads are probably useless now.pbar wrote:Perhaps a 'how to' on removing the sunroof might be a good idea, I'm sure it would help lots of people out? When i put Not_Anumber's sunroof back in i'll take pictures of the removal procedure as it has to come out again anyway for paint, and then i'll make a how to tutorial like i did with the BMW headlight conversion.

Re: Sunroof out
Any info from someone like yourself who obviously knows what they are doing would be welcome as I have mine to do as it is scratched, doesn't tilt anymore and I want to put a new seal on. Look forward to seeing all the tips and tricks

Not really. Take it from me there are a lot of issues that can "pop up".Fordoholic Nick wrote:Hey Arya looks like a bit of an 'open and shut" caseArya2.0S wrote: Didnt find the time to take photos wile i was taking the sunroof out, but found this tutorial by somebody else who explains it pretty well, might be of some use to you?
