Perfection.

Post by Arya2.0S »

I just came back from a 300 mile round trip to Southampton and back. As many of you know ive been having a lot of troubles with my Capri for the past few months, so i was delighted when the car performed flawlessly there and back.
If she was a sentient being i would have given her a reward, i was so proud of her!

Just as i was making it home, on the final stretch i had this moment where everything just seemed to "click".

Like...ever have one of those moments while driving when everything seems to melt away? All your problems, all your anxiety, all your health issues, all your fears and doubts in life all seem to vanish, and for just a very short, brief moment even your perception of time seems to disappear and you just feel like....like everything's gonna be ok?

Thats what happened to me on the drive home last night, the one i love more than anything else in this world (even my Capri) sitting beside me, and my pride and joy working flawlessly, making me feel.... alive and free.

Anyone else ever get that feeling whilst driving?

Then i got home and had to carry tons of heavy bags upstairs and was greeted with my cats who had decided to leave puke all over the carpets lol.

Had a similar experience last week. Not quite as elegantly as you've put it mind.

15 mile drive to and from work on winding Devon A road, finish work early, beautiful day, no other cars for some reason (middle of a nice day and no cars wtf?) and everything was sweet. I was on my gsxr750 Srad. Now I'm Not the fastest rider, nor the next guy Martin. I would even say that the gsxr is wasted on me coz I prefer a different style of riding than knee down, balls out ect.
I just always wanted an srad, anyway,
It was a pleasant and spirited ride home, so much so that I accidentally ride about 80 miles past my house???
Cornering was feeling good, got rid of my chicken strips (the black line on your tyres that shows how much balls you've got when cornering) and I generally had a really good time. Then I got home .....................
I KNOW MY CAR IS OLDER THAN ME......WHATS YOUR POINT???

Sounds nice. Just that feeling of freedom, both from a physical standpoint and a psychological one is so precious.
