RIP John.
Seemed like a good bloke. Watched Blue Peter alot when I was a kid.......And Magpie :)

Not been a good week/10 days for this :(

RIP. He made Blue Peter into the standout kids programme it was. Another character from that golden era sadly gone.

They don't seem to be replaced by any likewise equivalents either. It's going to be a right dour and boring age in a few years without great personalities like his.

He was in the recent remake of Are You Being Served. It was quite good actually.
