I drew a thing.

Just did this for fun.
The line work looks a bit rough in places but thats down to how my scanner works unfortunately.
Based off my own car.
I'm chuffed with how to the "S" stripe turned out, the "S" stripe police (of which i am an honorary member) should be happy.

Great effort!
Not an easy car to draw, and toy car makers found it a hard shape to get right, your drawing is really good.

Thank you. Usually its easier to start with the wheels. If you can get the wheelbase right that will make it easier to get that rest of the proportions correct too, at least that seems to be how professionals do it.
I usually start with the wheels and the bottom sills.

My Mrs does Pet and Animal Portraits, but she can't draw cars too well......
She tried a Capri once, but iirc the front end was too bulky in comparison. What you get used to drawing I suppose.

A straight line is about my limit

You did well..... And she agrees

Thank you.
You fooled me for a second there! You never know, some people can actually draw like that, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between a drawing and a photo in some cases.
Some people can make crazy realistic portraits using just MS Paint!

Some people probably can.....not me though. I can just about draw the curtains, but that's about it! :)

Have you done any more Capri drawings, or just the one above?

Andrew.
