Fordoholic Nick.... Hummm, what a Gent.....

Hi all,

So, the other day, having returned from a blast round Europe, sadly not in the Cappa, I decided I'd best give the old girl a bit of a run. All was going well till I had to use my Horn at a Dick Head.... Sadly the Horns had given up the will to live though and they sounded like a wet Fart.... Right up to the point the Fuse went..... Big Bugger!!!!

Well to cut a long story a little shorter, I threw all my Years of experience out the window and started a hunt for the Horn Relay, shown on BOTH wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual.... Humm, this hunt did Not go well, so I changed out the fuse and nipped down the Auto Factors, bought a pair of Disc dual tone horns and whacked them on, Oh Dear, nothing....

It was only at this stage I decided to check the wiring, something I should have done at the start, after all, it's only 33 Years old, behind the grill, where it gets no weathering.....

Needless to say this was all in a very sad state, so, re-wired the Fuse Box, then all behind the grill, new connectors everything, tried the horns and oh dear, they worked, but now sounded like a slightly off Wet Fart. Tried the originals, no go, burnt out. Anyway, (I'm getting to the point now.... Honest....) I nipped round to see Nick on Sunday, true to form, there he was tinkering with his Beloved..... The Cappa that is and as I pulled up, Tooted the Horns. O dear. Anyway, once Nick climbed off the floor and dried his eyes, we had our usual banter and eventually I left and came home.

So tonight, I've got home from work and waiting on my Door Step was this....

What a Gent..... He had told me he'd ordered them for me, but it is still such a Fantastic gesture....

Nick, many thanks fella. The grub at Simply Ford is on me!!! All day long...... Cheers, all the very best Nick.....

I just wanted to share this with you all, as he is a true Gent.... All the best every one, till next time, Cheers,

John......

Hey John.

Cheers mate. Very much appreciated but not a problem at all.
Its the least I could do after all the help you give me mate, and I think we both knew last Sunday that something had to be done about 'those' horns that you fitted fella.... It just wasn't right and proper when you 'beeped' at me when you rolled up in your 2.8i Special. I thought a couple of ducks had strayed from the local pond  :sorry:

Hopefully they will give your 2.8i Special its 'mo jo' back :)

All the best mate

Nick

PS Looking forward to Beaulieu. Not long to go....

Hi John,
That's what true Capri friendship is about. 8-)
I pity the poor road user who gets a blast from those bad boys!

Andrew.
