What can you do?

Post by stevemarl »

I was behind an old lady in an old (N reg) Nissan Micra this morning, only the high level brake light working, and that dimly. Anyway, by chance she was going to the same Co-op, so as she came in I pointed out to her that she only had one brake light..... `That`s right it only has one" "No, it should have 3, one at each side, both of yours are out" " no it only has one, it`s an old car...." "No, honestly, I am absolutely certain it has 3 - the police will pull you up if they see you" " No it`s an old car, there`s nothing you can do." So there you go. Probably exempt from MOTs at that age too?
Scary that these people are driving around quite freely.

I`ve told Deb, if the day ever comes when I start wearing a trilby and driving at 26mph - she`s to book the flight to Switzerland!

At least you tried....I wonder if the Police would have pulled her over :?:

MOT will definitely fail it, as it's only just over 20 years old and still needs a yearly test.....Providing someone hasn't gone into the back of it by then

I honestly still want to die in a huge fireball....

BTW Paul, or If anyone is interested, True Entertainment are showing the Avengers followed by the Prisoner every evening. All I need is some maths homework to not do and it`s like `67 again!!!

Excellent :) Although I have the box set, I see that The Persuaders is being shown on one of the Freeview channels also, so there's a great hat-trick for an evening.
