Pao

Post by Major_Tom »

..anyone heard of these before? Saw one today in Cambridge, quite a cute little thing I have to say.. shame about the guy driving it, who was licking his finger with a big dirty smile on his face..
I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.

Hi,
Nissan went crazy for these pseudo-retro styles things a few years back. As well as the Pao, the most well known is the S-Cargo (get it? It looks like a snail) van and the Figaro. Let's just say they're not for me.....

I quite like them actually. Especially cos I imagine it being pronounced as "Nissan, POW!!!" (insert Batman TV series style "POW!" card here)

Kei cars in general quite appeal to me. Small cars with turbos and stuff to fit within the rules - it's kinda like motorsport regs! Although actually I'm unsure if the POW is a kei...

Seems a bit strange to think of a P.O.W. when you see that car.

I had a funny turn a few years back and was driving around shouting Cilit Bang quotes at people and wheelspinning away.

I fold!

It amazes me that people in the market to buy a new car can see something like this in the showroom and think to themselves "That's the one for me...." :headscratch:

Apologies to anyone who might have bought one, by the way..... :)

The Japanese car makers have moved on since the 90's, it's the Chinese who are the masters of copycat styling and silly car names now.

At first I thought it must be some kind of home-made special, but it turns out that there could be more than one out there.....
