Kwik Fit Advert.

Post by Andrew 2.8i »

Hi Everyone,
Has anybody else herd that radio advert for Kwik Fit, where they helpfully tell you that "passing the MOT does not guarantee you car will be roadworthy for a whole year" or some such patronising nonsense?

It's lucky Kwik Fit pointed out that info though, eh?
Obviously the point of the ad is to encourage people to have their cars inspected throughout the year. For a small fee, I assume....

Oh course, and they wouldn't find a bulb or wiper blade that needed replacing would they :sarcasmalert:

Your MOT is due shortly IIRC

Thanks! It's booked in for next week, as it happens. Not at KF though.

Kwik Fit are a dodgy outfit - they are fitters not mechanics and being a large corporation they are set targets for what they have to sell - more corporate greed.

This old Watchdog clip sums them up.

Hi,
While I wouldn't go as far as saying they are a dodgy outfit, I do agree that, naturally, they have sales targets to meet.
How many of their free brake checks result in no work being required? Not many, I suspect....
