Makes my Blood Boil!
Why does Ebay allow this sort of thing?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mk1-escort-19 ... 2121405359
The seller's last words indicate the true intentions of the sale, "Buyer to uplift or can post "

Hi Andrew
I'm with you on this. Ebay don't monitor anything IMO.

Re: Makes my Blood Boil!
I dont understand whats wrong, or am i being naive?
Description reads:
"Tax exempt, v5c in my name. Bought car 3 yrs ago, run it for a few months then decided to strip it for restoration. New inner & outer sill n/s & floorpan fitted, didn't get any further as some kind person decided to burn the storage units down."
Sounds like he's just trying to sell the remains...which, could technically be salvaged if you're skilled enough.
Its not like he's just trying to sell the V5 with some cut out vin tags like some people do, so what am i missing?

Re: Makes my Blood Boil!
That's exactly what he is trying to do. Sell you a ringing kit. All you need to do is steal someone's pride n joy. Refit with new plates n vin tags (Available new) and you have made someone's pride n joy disappear without trace and you will zero hassle selling it to some oik for 15k. Its out of order. Capri's will be next guys.

Re: Makes my Blood Boil!
As stated, the seller couldn't be more clear that this is a sale of the V5, the identity of a legitimate car. The listing states "If you don't want to collect I will send by registered post ; )" and also "Buyer to uplift or can post ; )".Arya2.0S wrote:Its not like he's just trying to sell the V5 with some cut out vin tags like some people do, so what am i missing?

And another, same car they often use, I've reported it.

I wonder how the genuine owner must feel after finding out their car has been used in numerous scam adverts?Paul G wrote:And another, same car they often use, I've reported it.

I don't suppose there is much anybody can do about it, other than report it once it has happened.
