A Toffee wheel. In all my years in and around the motor industry I had never heard of one of these until someone recommended I use one to remove the stripes off my Laser. Easy to use and got the stripes off much quicker than using a heat gun and scraper and didn't damage the paint underneath.

A few months ago, my local Halfords had temporarily sold out of the dark grey HFVP. You haven't recently been holidaying in this part of the world have you?
I know I'll get lambasted for this statement, but I've never seen the point of those battery isolators. Why not simply disconnect the positive battery connection instead?
Andrew.

This is connected to the negative terminal.....
I just find it easier than carrying a spanner and often fiddling around with a 10mm nut especially if it's dark
Plus if someone tries to steal the car, it adds time onto them removing it and reconnecting the terminal

My local halfwords has it in stock, but can't you order it online and have it delivered?
Re: Laser Page Forum "Product of the Year 2016"
Yeah I'd have to vote for the Halfords flexible vinyl paint too. It's either that, or that textured bumper paint someone recommend to use on the end caps. Used some on mine and they look like brand new, but can't remember the brand name. But out of all the spray can based paint products I've used over the years these two have produced some of the best results.
*Edit* This is the stuff I was talking about that I used on my bumper end caps, it's awesome so it's a toss up between this and the Halfords vinyl paint for me:

Re Battery Isolater;
Personally I just find it quicker and easier to use this for isolating the battery, although I can see why people may think otherwise
I have used it on cars with and without a security system fitted.
HFVP also gets a thumbs up having sorted my kick panels

Re: Laser Page Forum "Product of the Year 2016"
I`d have to go for the clarke/draper low profile trolley jack as recommended by Pbar and nick. Just used it to change wishbone and rear engine mount on the Fiat and the `twist to lower` is brilliant; being able to both raise AND lower with one hand - it`s like having an incredibly strong assistant! (My other trolleys have separate valves to lower so you have to relocate the handle there to lower - then back again to pump...)

Re: Laser Page Forum "Product of the Year 2016"
I used to use that in my old Beetle (the car I owned before upgrading to a Capri) what's bad about it?sheff wrote:This stuff gets my vote.Arya2.0S wrote:

Re: Laser Page Forum "Product of the Year 2016"
The low zinc content has the potential to damage Capri engines. Here's the relevant thread...

Don't be fooled by those so-called toffee wheels. Utter rip off. I bought one and it totally wasn't fit for purpose, I tried to return it but the seller would have none of it, just telling me "you're not supposed to eat it, it's not *actual* toffee. And no, I'm not paying your dental bills!". Avoid!!!
