Next time I go down there, I'll have a look for it. If my brother hasn't 'found it' it's yours. Just don't tell him I'm looking for it .. ;)
Don't forget the mains lead.......

Still can't get over the price of that 14" TV , must have been a hell of a price in 1978, I guess 'Teleton' was a big name in the '70s, it was also a 'cutting edge' colour model too :D
It's crazy isn't it Rob, must of been a weeks wages or something for that size of TV back then.
I have a Teleton amp on my desk at work - gets used for listening to radio etc on a daily basis. Manufactured in 1975, and in continuous use since! Apparently they were a cheapo japanese import at the time, though.

We also have a selection of Laserdiscs still in daily use, and until a couple of years ago we had some 1969 8-track cartridge players and 1970s Kodak slide projectors, all of which still ran well. Easy enough to service and they just kept on going.

Equally, until recently I had a post office dial telephone on my desk. No wonder my colleague says I live in the 80s!

Thank you Rob, you're a good 'un :) That would transport me right back to Christmas in the early 80's.

If it has stuff like that up there, I'd be up there forever! I'd live up there.

You have all this stuff at work?! Is it to do with your job, or do you just simply like to have it around and/or use it.

The 15.5p one titled "Information Technology" is part of a set that I'm fairly certain I had in my stamp album when I was a boy!

Wow, that's amazing Peter! That must either be sent by someone who has some ancient stamps still for some reason, or a parcel you have been expecting for a very long time!

Great thread chaps. Some of it I am a bit to late for but still a good read none the less. I do remember a few things though. The I-spy books and also the fish and chips crisps. Mmmmmm.
Does any one remember these http://www.electrokinetica.org/shareddb ... pg&r=1&w=1

Hope the link works. I can't put pics from my phone on here for whatever reason. It's a goblin teas made. My mum had one. Always got a bollocking for playing around with it in the mornings ha

We had a Goblin teasmaid too. I never saw it being used that I can remember, but we had it for years, and it was just an ornament really, but used for the clock and/or light. A different one to the one in that pic, but same kind of thing.

Now we're talking, used to love these :) Matchbox cars out all over the floor, pulling into the garage, rolling down the ramp, great stuff. And as for the racing track, that was ultimate excitement!

Wow, I had those too, we were so easily amused! Remembered how excited I was setting up the run down to the 'loop the loop' so the car would go all the way round without dropping off
