Just as well, as I bet the money he got for TV appearances dried up years ago!

I bet. I am surprised he ever got any. Too me he is one of those guys who has made a career out of being rubbish at the very thing he is famed for.

Very apt for the time of year, a selection box from the early 70's. These still look as inviting now as they would have done back then!

Some still available...... but smaller :? That whole box probably cost less than a Twix today :(

Would love to go back to the 70's for Xmas :)

There would have been plenty of empty cans of these back in the day, filling the bins at this time of year!

Younger's Tartan, classic!

I think it's a device to view a photo.

Brilliant Steve. Nice one mate ! I just seen your post after I did mine

Andrew was correct then when he mentioned photos :applaud:

I am still trying to remember it though. I am sure I we had one. Must ask Mum and Dad when I pop up to them in a couple of weeks :)

Do these things have an actual name?
Did they come in other colours too? All the ones I recall ever seeing were red.

Yes, they were a photo viewer, say for example you were on holiday at Butlins (brilliant place!) the photographer there may take a family picture whilst you're all out at one of the entertainments, and you would get the photo permanently inside this little viewer which you do indeed hold up to the light to see what is inside. I've only ever known them to be completely sealed. They also did novelty ones, I have one with a chimp on the toilet! But I think their main purpose was to provide you with your photo. They are only small, probably less than 3 inches.

They work incredibly well, it's hard to describe the experience of looking inside.
