My latest classic ford to add to the collection

Post by dan the capri fan »

My new classic ford to add to the collection. these early F,G and H reg mk3 fiesta base model's are getting extremly rare now and will be worth the same if not more than mk1's and 2's. i picked it up last saturday its a "G" reg 1990 ford fiesta 1.0 popular in maritime blue in fantastic condition and 48,000 on the clock. It's totally original with hardly any rust just the little bit here and there. The rear arches are mint and so are the sills. It's never been welded and has 11 months MOT on it with no advisories. It came from Dagenham motors of uxbridge originally its still got its original dealer plates and stickers on it. I got it for £700 it drives spot on and I will be able to insure it with footman james on a classic policy where i can drive my Capri as well for £776 for the year :D i will sell my other W reg fiesta mk5 1.25 LX which was my first car when i start driving this one as i wont have the room to keep it, im the 5th owner of it.

Hi Dan,
That's a lovely genuine looking car, I think you've definitely got a good buy there. I bet it still drives like a new car too.
Those mk3 Fiestas are getting a rare sight on the roads nowadays.

Andrew.

nice and clean Dan but it di have a few advisories on its current MOT.

Advisory notice item(s):

Brake hose slightly deteriorated (3.6.B.4d)

deterioration to rear tyres

o/s/r tyre unevenly worn

It looks like its just been a workhorse over the years as little mileage been done between MOT's and most years the tyres have been adviories along with the brake pipes. Should be a decent classic daily for you. 8-)

Good luck with it Dan, If you're as enthusiastic about this car as you are with your Capri, it's in good hands. Enjoy.
