Why Not Come to the CRaP Weekend?

Post by 340truck »

So - the CRaP weekend starts tomorrow. People who are going...I'll see you there.

People who aren't going........this is the only chance to meet with fellow Laser Pagers, so I for one would be interested to find out WHY you aren't going. Perhaps you could let us (the organisers) know what we are doing wrong. It's cheap (£10 for the whole weekend), the (new) venue is superb with a great pub on site, there are 24hr toilets and washing facilities and the "ambience" of the weekend is brilliant with a wealth of Capri knowledge literally sitting in a field waiting to be tapped. We'll even change your engine for you if you want us to....it's been done before.

You don't even need to own or bring a Capri!

Please...lets have some feedback....one time a year for the forum members to get together.....why aren't YOU coming?

Hi,
In all honesty, camping simply doesn't appeal to me.
Neither does a 4.5 hour drive each way.
Yes, I could stay in a B&B, but that doesn't appear to be in the spirit of this get-together.

Plus, I'm really boring and would spend the entire weekend talking about cars! It's only fair to spare you lot that punishment!

Have a great weekend, all those that are going!

Andrew.

No it's not. You can see friends on here at other car shows of course.

It always seems to clash with the Retro Show which is a shame. I also don't do tents these days so a venue with a motel on site would sway me more.

Have a great weekend guys. I've had some of the best times of my life in a field with you guys. 8-)

Is it always in the same area? I know the venue has changed, but is it always the same location?

More or less Paul as there's a core of guys that will go. It's centralish.
We've asked on here in the past what people would do or travel for but the response is always limited so its stopped where it is.
And it's hard to find somewhere that does what we want.

I don't drink alcohol or like camping and I like to be asleep by 10 pm in my own bed.......A right boring B*****d really :(
I also have a local car show I like to support this weekend.

Have a good one to all of you that are going :)

Then you will 100% see Michelle and I next year. Let me know as soon as the venue is booked and I will book us a room before they get fully booked. Would be great to see you all again.

Over my 46 years of life, I have attended literally 100's of car shows and meets and CRaP is without doubt, the best. No question. A lovely friendly bunch of guys n gals from all walks of life, chilling out in a field full of cars. It doesn't get any better in my opinion. 8-) (Well it does now they have a B&B  )

Good Morning.

If any of you read this I hope you all had a great evening last night. Just to let you know that myself and John will be convoying up today to say hello to you all. Sorry for the late notice but just I got back from Caravan holiday last night so was not really expecting to make it this year...until late last night after chatting with John. As said just popping up to meet up this afternoon for a few hours. Be great to meet some of you for the first time. We should be there about 1230-1pm. See you later :D

All the best

Nick

Nothing to do with venue, price, or company. The show is fantastic. I can testify to this. Last 3 years it's just clashed with a stag do and Spain hols. Sorry Dave! Will try make next year.
