Hi,
I saw this, it's definitely a scam advert.

Hi,
Dunno how it works, but probably use your mobile number somehow when you send it to them, as requested.

C'Mon. ......a decent 280 for £7.5K?

Hi,
The advert looks harmless enough, but it's obviously not genuine.
I've no idea how the scam works though. Perhaps they get into a conversation with interested parties and ask for a deposit, or even full payment, to secure the vehicle?

Hi,
I hope it's removed before anybody parts with their cash.
Ebay should do more to stop these scams.

Hi Andrew,
:agree: Ebay has been going long enough to have put something in place to help prevent it....
Maybe a compulsory phone number or email address on ALL adverts???? That is confirmed beforehand :?

Possibly this sellers ? Ebay account has been accessed to put this advert on.......I've heard of it being done before.

Must be a scam because the same car is listed in a forthcoming auction, with a £30k+ estimate;

Hi,
That's a pretty tame scam if that's all it was about!

Have been in touch with him ..via email (for some reason the number he initially text me with isn't working now!!) When I asked to view the car he said it's in Inverness . Not a problem I said I'll come and see it Friday then .
Of course I had a email back saying he was in Berlin for two months but would deliver the car to me for £7500 and I could pay him via PayPal pay after delivery where he gets paid straight away but my account doesn't get debited for 14 days ... meanwhile guess he does a runner but how he would get away from PayPal baffles me sure they could trace him
If anyone has a 280 for sale am seriously looking to buy one even if it is more than 7500 :D
