Sun roof handles

Post by Bug »

Noticed a lot of people asking for replacement ones.
Obviously if they snap they're knackered, but sometimes it's just the knob that falls off.
In this case its an easy fix.
Prise the cap out of the centre of the knob, push the knob back onto the handle, fit an o-ring seal inside the knob so that it grips in the groove in the handle (probably need to push it in with a small screwdriver), then refit the cap in the knob.
Done loads that way and never had a problem with them.

Thanks for that, really useful tip! This is what forums should be about - pooling such knowledge.

:agree: Thanks for sharing.
That info could save somebody having to fork out £100 for a replacement winder handle from Ebay. ;)

Hi,
Then you can save yourself £102 by not needing to buy a NOS winder handle!

Now then, is that due to the type of Capris you've owned, or just the onset of old age memory loss?
