Barry Hearn used to have a white Tickford I think it was. Sure it was up for sale recently.

So the chances are that the REAL Sooty & Sweep have been in your car? That is pretty awesome!

Not really Capri related but....Considering the acclaim given to mediocrity nowadays, get into the last stages of X Factor and you expect to be wafted around in stretched limos for the remainder of your life...
Here`s a bloke, who was in quite a big group in the 60s, packing the boot of his Austin Maxi, wife & kids in tow. Apparently they`d stopped off to visit relatives on their way to Scotland for a weekend break....

I only got who it was because of yoko`s face! Is that dog a labrador or rotweiler? I can`t imagine john lennon having a rotty for some reason!

Hi,
That's an amazing photograph, it really illustrates how the nature of celebrity has changed beyond recognition in recent times. I can't see the same sort of shot happening these days, unless it's a staged sponsorship endorsement.

Hi,
Matthew Corbett's Mum would, I assume, be Harry Corbett's wife. That's Harry Corbett the creator of Sooty, not Harry H. Corbett from Steptoe and Son! ;)
That's an excellent celebrity provenance that your car has! 8-)

All the best,
Andrew.

Speaking of Provenance; Would you want to own Jimmy Saville's RS3100?

Hang on a minute, he said ...Corbett's Mum, or 'something like that'. Which means it could be a friend who almost new his Mum, from his Dad's cousins' side, briefly related from a previous marriage in another land.

Great picture. Slightly more Capri related... John Deacon from Queen, back in their heyday wanted a Capri, but Freddie put him off claiming that it wasn't rock star enough.

If that's the case, then my car also has the same celebrity pedigree! 8-)
