Saying that, I certainly didn't go misty eyed over that Citroen BX...
Hi,
Maybe you don't, however, there is a Citroen BX owner's club. That reminds me, I spotted a beautiful Citroen CX turbo today. In my opinion, it still looked as futuristic now as it would have forty years ago. 8-)

Another observation, there is an owner's club for practically every car that was sold at the time of that video. Even Yugo, for God's sake! I just can't see that in twenty years time there will be the enthusiasm for the cars that are built now. As we've said before, cars now are considered just as a piece of equipment.

I would`ve said "THOUGHT to be fantastic in their day"... But yes, exactly, fashions DO change, in the day they really were the canine`s gonads or whatever! (never understood that phrase either - always get a very unsavoury image - but that`s another story!)
Thanks for those pics Andrew, Ages since I`ve seen anything like that.
Dogs are very proud of their bits , they keep them prominently displayed , and real clean ( usually in public when there is an unappreciative audience....... and I could do without the sound effects :) )
Sometimes I talk to myself ... and we both have a good laugh

Hi,
Isn't it amazing how this thread has evolved from stretched tyres to dogs' genitalia, via the Citroen BX?
It would be nice if the subject meandered back to cars, though! With the original topic in mind, I'll add this photo of a nice, tasteful Lupo.

Hi,
It addition, it would appear that the law regarding stretched tyres is a bit sketchy. So, not only do they look silly, they are potentially dangerous and likely to get your car pulled over every time you see a Police car. So in conclusion, I think stretched tyres are a great idea! :sarcasmalert:

Hi,
Wow, those wheels are wiiiiiiide! Those arches have probably made the car too wide to fit into a single garage, though!

It's not to my personal taste, although I can appreciate the hard work that has gone into the car.

I find that guys "creations" personally offensive. You should look at his other beasts. He doesn't do the hard work by the way. Once he has done his sketches with his crayons he passes on the work to more competent people who surely hate themselves for what they have created.

The 'beast' he created for Martin Kemp was used at a charity event at Santa Pod where you could pay to smash it up with a sledgehammer before it was flattened by a monster truck
