Anyone else thinking of going?

Sounds like a good warm up for Simply Ford down Beaulieu the following day.
Working just round the corner from the Ace on Sat, see you there round 7:30ish...

Hi,
There are photographs on the forum from the last meet and the standard of cars looks awesome. 8-)
I'd love to go to this, but it's just too far away, unfortunately.
Have a great time, and if you take any photos post them on here!

Andrew.

Hi All,
A few Pic's of this as requested.
Having driven round for 10 Min's or so, I finally got a parking spot just in-front of a beautiful Red 3Lt 'S'....

Another nice 3Lt 'S', or so I thought....

Look again...

A nice Tickford in Black?

How about a MKI 5.7 GT

A quick mention for the Cossie's...

And the Escort's of course....

A 2.9 24V Cortina, with a great slogan under the bumper....

And finally me in-front of the 1st 3Lt 'S'.... I'm taking the Pic of my Baby, I'm not actually in the Photo...

All to do again down Simply Ford at Beaulieu tomorrow, OPS!!! I mean later this morning, off to sleep now.....

Hi,
Yes, looks like a fantastic meet with a high standard of cars. Thanks for posting the photographs for us to see! 8-)

I can't make out the under-bumper slogan on the Cortina. Can any members with better eyesight enlighten me?

Andrew.

Hi,
Sorry you can't zoom in, I forget...

"OLD FORDS NEVER DIE
THEY JUST GET FASTER"

This car had a well fitted Cosworth 2.9, 24v..... Very nice, a great standard all round, but I left before it got dark and the madness began!!!

Was a really good meet :D Unfortunately I didn't get to meet you John (Taff), arrived there just before 8 and couldn't get parked near the place so ended up parked in one of the streets behind the cafe, I came back around 10pm and parked up along the front. A Lot of nice cars inc the Capri's.

Unfortunately there was a bad accident under the bridge later on, a guy lost control of a S1 Escort with Cosworth running gear and after bouncing off a couple parked cars under the bridge, went head on into an Audi S3, was a total mess.

Boy am I glad I didn't park under the bridge!

Just realised John, I must have passed you coming the other way when you were leaving (I was in a Black 2.8i) gave you a wave. Your car was looking fantastic mate!

Hi,
Oh dear, not a good end to what looks like a great evening. The most important thing is that no-one was hurt.

DCDave, did you manage to take any photos of the meet that you can post?

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi Dave,
Yes very sorry I missed you, I must admit, when I left I went up the back Streets towards Wembley and was kinda watching what the Copper's were up to with a Fiesta in a car park area, so I did miss you. Once again sorry about that. Should try to catch up at another meet!
Thanks very much for the kind words on my Capri, just finished putting a couple of coats of wax on it, the Winter did take a bit of the shine away, I do use it quite a lot, so always great to get a compliment....
Bad news about the Crash, I never park under the bridge, even if there is parking under there, I've seen some of these accidents before. (Sometimes spinning off the Round-a-bout trying to Dougnut.) When I've been on the Bike some of their crashes are quite spectacular! It's always the poor Sod parked up who comes off worse through, no fault of their own too, years of love n work wiped out in a second thanks to some nut with the driving skills of a Muppet..... Mind, I'll cheer along with the rest of them for a good Burnout!!!
Hope you had a great night. I'll see if I can get some pics from Beaulieu up later on today. All the best everyone..... Cheers....
John.

Keep it Shinny side up! (Sorry, bit of a Bike term, but useful for this one.....)
