New RWD Ford in 2015....

Post by mjcapri »

Might even be late 2014 if we get it the same time as the yanks....

The speculation is over and Ford has revealed the new Mustang. I won't post a link as I'm on my phone and its all over the net so can be searched easily enough. What's your thoughts? Anybody going to be saving up for one?

Arent they only making the v6 rhd? Like they said on top gear what's the point of a mustang that's not a v8?
Since I got a capri I've said "over the moon" a lot more than ever before.

A 2.3 turbo, 4 pot for the UK.....

But a 3 door, RWD fastback coupe.... with 300+ bhp....... I want it!!!!
Far too many people have forgotten the joy of just going out to drive!

It appears as though the Ecoboost and V8 will be available here.... Not sure about the V6 which will be the 'base' model.

I hope it sells well and ford realise that not everyone is after a front wheel drive bar of soap for going to the shops in.

a few years back i heard a new mustang and new capri were coming out... then it was all forgotten about... if the mustang does well theres a big chance a new capri will spawn from it!

Im surprised they didnt try to sell the Mustang in the UK earlier. I expect it will sell very well, if nothing else the name alone will sell it.

Agreed. I'm even more suprised the Falcon never made it over here seeing as it's RHD as standard.... Ok they wouldn't sell loads if them but GM obviously sold enough Commodores/VXR8s to make it worthwhile, and with the huge UK Ford scene I'm sure they'd sell enough.

Top Gear can go whistle.
Not everyone wants a V8 and the associated running costs, the big sellers will be the smaller engine versions for sure.
Can't see it being a huge success in the UK though.
A few die hard Ford fans will lust after it, fewer still will have the cash to buy one. No real profit for a volume maker like Ford sadly.
