NASC only 2 Capris?

So I took my speed wobbling capri to the NASC nationals yesterday and what a splendid day it was to. Surprisingly though, other than 2 mk1's, I am pretty sure move was the only one there!

Last couple of years there have at least been a couple - think it was the year before last I spent a while taking to a chap who was regretting putting aover v8 in his because all the parts were so costly.

Is there any reason why you guys don't go to it?

Just wondering because it's an awesome day out and a tenner entrance fee for however many are in the car makes it nice and cheap too! Rare these days lol

I went sunday as I live local up to 2 years ago I camped the weekend only stopped because all the good crowd had gone and the majority of those who do go are fucked up bastards.

I think I saw just the 2 capris a mark 1 and a mark 3- saw more mustangs and trans-ams than I can count.

Hopefully I will return next year behind the wheel of my overdue capri.

Isn't that a hot rod/custom car type event? I'm not sure there's many on here that have gone down that route with their cars although I appreciate they could still be interested in general terms.

The NASC is the National Association of Street clubs

Now the spring NATS is more aimed at the Very old Skool type hot rod.

The summer NATs which sunday was is pretty much open to anyone I agree 90 odd % of the members are yank and usa style hot rod but that doesn't mean anything.

I am a huge fan of yank tanks and rods and I have every aim to have one (top of the list is a Semi truck) won't be giving up my capri.

Yeah while there are shit-loads of hotrods, mustangs, etc all kicking about, there's also often a smattering of 'classics', saw a few cortinas, escorts and the like. So next year, don't get put off by the 'hotrod' theme, it's a great day out anyway

I dunno about that, he needs to get intouch with rimmer brothers, I got a load of parts for my RV8 I had in the cappa, and they weren`t anymore than pinto bits. The super thin oil was the most expensive stuff

It is a pretty good show I use to camp the weekend until 2 years ago when I quit the club I was in.
I also use to be a Marshal on the saturday cruise to Felixstowe.
