No what you do is get it on the flat and they run round in circles that's the best way to catch them

Trouble is they're so small, a bit like a snipe, that you have to be quick. It's a shame they're not as big as a pheasant then you wouldn't have to get three or four at once & wrap them in sheep's bladder for cooking to hold them all together. For woodcock which are a bit bigger they skewer the long beak through the body to hold them together & cook with the guts in - called 'trails-on-toast, a bit of an aquired taste.
Anyway - all haggis are wild because you can't rear them in captivity.
