What's the best way to hunt wild haggis?
I can't seem to catch one.
Re: What's the best way to hunt wild haggis?
If you sneak up to one and pour some salt on its bum it will be easier to catch
Since I got a capri I've said "over the moon" a lot more than ever before.

No what you do is get it on the flat and they run round in circles that's the best way to catch them

Trouble is they're so small, a bit like a snipe, that you have to be quick. It's a shame they're not as big as a pheasant then you wouldn't have to get three or four at once & wrap them in sheep's bladder for cooking to hold them all together. For woodcock which are a bit bigger they skewer the long beak through the body to hold them together & cook with the guts in - called 'trails-on-toast, a bit of an aquired taste.
Anyway - all haggis are wild because you can't rear them in captivity.
