I would take a plug out and test if you have got a spark to it then test if you have a spark coming from your dizzy cap and check power to your coil

A couple of basics, just in case:
Make sure the low tension wires are connected on the coil.
Make sure the points gap has been set.
Also, I once had a short to earth insidse the dizzy cap via the wire from the points so make sure there's no cable damage.

just try taking the centre lead out and hold it about a cm away from a good earth (with rubber gloves on ovc) and strike the - coil terminal on a earth, just quick strike dont hold it on, and see if it jumps every time, if it does its your points, if not its your coil or + feed. If it is points make sure the gap is fine and give them a little clean with wet and dry.

i wouldnt as were talking extreme voltage, if you want take out the main coil lead and put in a plug lead with a plug in it and earth the side of the plug ovc and see if that sparks.
