That's a really good result mate, really happy to hear that. You've done great getting the car sorted out and no doubt tomorrow, when it passes the emissions, you'll be able to have some fun in it.
Nice one mate !

Re: Well it failed..
did u fit the red interior?
Bigger is better, there is no replacement for displacement
Re: Well it failed..
It's all good got the axle location kit on too.. makes such a difference.
Yes got the red interior in.. well the seats anyway. Looks badboy! Rest goes in when I remember how the jizzing cocks it fits together!
Only thing is this starting issue.. t's still cranking over wierdly.. it'll turn over but when fail when it gets close to firing. Ran out of fuel today and it turned oer fine for a full 30 secs to pul new fuel through smooth as you like. A mate of mine suggested cleaning the starter solenoid up.. he thinks the compression is a little much for it and when it nneeds it's max current some corrosion of grime or filth or something might be causing enough resistance to cause it to falter. My mate pushed started me this morning whilst i cranked her and that was enough help to get her to fire.
Apart from that it's been running like a dream.. loads of fun, sliding round the corners, givng it the large... heheh it's fun to be back behind the wheel. Gonna book in a rolling road next.

Re: Well it failed..
Hey Tom good news on getting her back on the road! mines still in the garage in bits
sounds like yours might b timed a bit too advanced? it was interesting how you said that when there was no fuel getting into the chambers, it turned over fine. but when you try and start it normally it struggles? just a thought.....
enjoy!

Re: Well it failed..
I stuck it to about 8 BTDC and it was still doing it. Most bizzarre. I don't think it wants any less.. you can tell now when you'tr at speed that it should have more to give so reckon timing aint the issue.

Re: Well it failed..
Yeah. 3.0 Ghia interior, not GL, yes of course. I'm in la la land.
Oh, Andy, it's lovely. Pockets in the back.. red velour and vinyl like being in an episode of phoenix nights.
