very sad night tonight.

Post by bsaman001 »

tonight my well loved Gf started an argument and left. im shocked why. i built my cappa from a rotten shell and took me many many months and i love it to bits. she has little interest in cars and is one of these people who believe new things are the way forward. when i was doing some little regular maintainance this evening and was saying from earlier that some idiot almost ran into me, she had the guts to say its a lump of scrap and if someone were to steal it or crash into it that it didnt matter. i ovc flipped and got a little angry and said a few things, as ya do. nothing harsh just about how she has no knolage of car history and that she had no say about it. she ovc hates me now and left.. i do still lve her.. and have forgiven. but still dosent want to hear from me.. deeply saddened, dont have a clue what to do..

You're better off without her. If the capri is your passion, then stick with it. It's her loss but we all move on in our own little way when faced with varying obstacles.

Just do your own thing with your ford :ford: . If it's meant to be that you both go your own separate ways, then so be it.

Plenty more fish in the sea, as they say. :xd:

Hey man sorry for your loss i know how you feel. but if you love your capri a lot like we all do then standing by her will mean alot in feb i had to made a decision my gf wanted me to scrap the capri just to buy her gifts, so in gods total truth is got rid of the gf and kept the capri and it was a wise choice because now i also own a 2.8 and i love both my capri's, found someone who loves capri's. you can burn the candle at both ends :)

but what she said was horrible about it being stolen or in a smash. what would happen if you would be in the car at the time of the smash ? yeh excatly she would be upset.

i know you love that girl a lot but in time you will see that theres lots of girls evan if there is always that one that truly had a place in your heart :) im here for you if you need to talk :)

Im sorry to hear that.

But if she didnt see that the capri was your passion and made you happy then it probably wouldnt have lasted.

There are loads off women out there that will suport their man with what he is passionate about even if they dont understand it.

there are even those who will share you passion.

Enjoy the car, no women wil ever get me to get rid of mine.

I'm afraid I agree. She deliberately wound you up to create a reason to walk out by the sounds of it.

You're worth more than being messed about like that.. know it's hard to do and easy to say but don't worry about it.. things have a funny way of working out no matter how shit somethihg seems at the time..

There aren't that many capris left now - but there are literally millions of girls in this world.

Breaking up is always tough, particularly if it wasn't your decision but you will get over it.

Your Capri will get you through the times of no sex much better than sex will get you through the times of no Capri!

Me and the now ex decided to go our seperate ways after a very long relationship due to me moving for work and her not wanting to go. So feeling your pain mate but absolutely love what you said 340truck!
very true! cant wait to use my now free time to get back and start appreciating the Capri again and get it through its M.O.T. so i can split up with the boringness of the FWD!
Trying to find a girl thats actually interested in cars seems very hard!
Just gotta keep the chin up and enjoy the single life for abit until you bump into someone who appreciates the everything including the capri passion!

Well as I have been there done that I'd say bollocks to her

Trust me on this- Now enjoy your Capri Couple this with your now free to Enjoy test driving other women as you see fit.

Soon one will turn up that will have a "thing" of her own that she will do while you have time on the Capri OR better she will be a Capri fan or at least a classic car nut.

Easy for me to say right well yes as I have been there and done that And no it was not easy to do- however I am out the other side and have a woman who knows naff all about Capris
yet will cause you more damage than I will should you step out of line with it.

So my best advice get another girl and another Capri just to piss her off.

Probably for the best. It's not really even about the Capri intrinsically but more about respect for each others hobbies and interests, which I think is a vital part of any relationship. I try my best to show an interest and involve myself in my girlfriends hobbies. It's a mutual thing, she's really not into cars but came to CRAP this year and made the most of it.

Sorry to hear it it probably is for the best - Hopefully find someone who will appreciate your interests !

Yeah man, agree with all the others.
she sounds like shes been spoilt and doesnt have a lot of experience in life.
a year or so down the line when your your car looks mint and turns everyones head - she ll be out on a shopping spree and coming home with the news "I'm PREGNANT!"
then your life is going down a direction of her whims and next theres an ad for the sale of your beloved Cappa with "BABY FORCES SALE!" YUK- who wants that?
and these poor blokes go along with it!
well, i say "F@~$ that!!!"

just keep her as a F@~$ Buddy and abuse it - LOL!

Mate, Birds who hate Capri's are the way to go.

Trust me take it from a man who knows.

Cycled to work this morning and back at lunchtime as she stole My Capri (Hers was not running right).

Get home Friday night and have to go out and fix her car as we need two cars tommorow.

I am buried in Shitty rusty fords. Get the girl back sell the car and take up a cheap habit like coke that consumes less time and money.
