Post by tck »

Ok!...We all got an idea of what we would REALLY like to build/own..
Moneys no object....What would you want???..(You might already own it..but very much doubt it!).....Its gotta be a road car......Therefore no good having that Zakspeed in a certain museum...
What colour/engine/mods etc would it be????..
Heres mine!
In the red/white....Fitted is a 350bhp V8 (thats not been greedy, its driveable)

mk3 capri black with mk1 rear vents, XX pack kit, 2.1 supercharged pinto with a clutch on the charger(like on aircon units) and a go baby go button, with a phoneix on the bonnet like the trans ams( even better would be if the charger was hidden. then the wings of the phoneix could part and the chargers intake could rise out of the bonnet on command), twin exit exhaust similar to 3litre, with plugs and a feed to rear end so i can make her spit flames (also must have fire proof paintwork on rear end) and the computer from knightrider(the original) (kitt) so everytime i open the door im greated by "Hello Micheal" even though my names not micheal. (that one might get a bit boring after a while) Half Leather interior, uncracked dash off course, speakers that can blow a womens clothes off. and an engine thats not green red and blue. For a Start.....

Probably stick with a Mk III and although I've always liked black I think I may well go with midnight blue. Some 15 inch alloys but other than that looking fairly standard, but, like tck, it would have a V8 tucked under the bonnet. On carbs. Best soundtrack there is :D

Yeah getting my rusty smashed up matt black MK3 2.0 with twin carbs and rally cam running again would do just fine for me.

But if it was running, like Neil M I'd like a modena green MK1 RS3100 with black bonnet and trim.. mmmmmmm.. and phat wheel arches.

I'm quite happy with the way mine is progressing. When it's "done" I'll be very happy!

Other than that, a mk1 like in TCK's post would be perfect, but I'd stick with the classic white and blue.

An immaculate but satin black MK3 sat low on 7.5" X pack 4 spokes in silver with a 215bhp Harris Pinto on 48's with a 100bhp shot of gas for good measure - should be good for mid 11's in comfy trim 8-)

That black mark 1 with the mk3 headlights was in RF a month ago, beautiful car. Rover V8...

I'd like a mk1 like that but in British racing green with the white power bulge and roof stripe like in TKC's pic, white pinstriping, with an LS1 under the hood and 2.0 ratio LSD at the back, slammed to the ground with some gold deep dish 15" basket alloys, ducktail, plenty of chrome, tan vinyl RS3100 seats, and the MK3 headlight conversion. Dipped, stripped and E-coated so it never needs any bodywork attention. And a big sound system, and 2 1/2" janspeed twin pipes.

This I think would see me good, but once he's working I'll be happy with Sparky for a bit ;)
