Good job stock. Love reading about your engine projects. 8-) How do you clean your bits? Got a hot tank?

i wish i did have a hot tank..... no, its been done the old fashioned way..... by hand...and brushes and compressed air.... and with this engine about 2 gallons of thinners!
With all the oil gallery bungs removed i have a spray gun type devise to blow through all the oil ways with a high pressure jet of thinners ( dissolves the black gunk pretty well) and comes in handy to wash everything off.

started like this...

Image

once stripped the wash down begins....

Image

and continues.....

Image

once fully cleaned off is given a couple of zinc primer...

Image

then a top coat....

Image

and finally some new core plugs and a coat of petrol resistant laquer...

Next..... the heads :)
