i dont know if anyone remembers at cocc, but i had a horrible vibration noise coming from my exhaust, well it turns out the silencer had split open and it was the flap of metal causing all the noise!
also since i put the charger on and built the exhaust system, it had always been rude boy loud- to the point of hurting my ears! so ive spent a couple of days building a silencer that doesnt cause loads of back pressure, and is quiet enough for my liking. plus its 2.5" all the way through (aftermarket ones i could get hold of were smaller than my pipe diameter (2.5"), they were more like 2.125"
she pulls well, with no noticeable drop in performance (meaning not too much of a restriction) and its got that old skool rumble that all cool cars should have! its all whining charger nosie now
so to say im chuffed is an under statement! you can learn alot by doing things like this your self- for example an oval or round silencer doesnt resonate as much as one with flat sides to it!
essay over.
"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.
well ive not got a quiet exhaust!
