I've just realised

Post by capri_turbo »

I havn't actually done anything to the turbo for a whole year.

Just checking through the photos of the rebuild and the last work I did on it was in June 2006 :(Image

This is what happens when you have two of them!

I really don`t want to sell my V8, but my interest in it has started to wain due to the MKII and all the fiddly bits i need to do on her! I suppose i`ll just have to wait till i get bored of going slow in the MKII , then the V8 will be in my good books again.

prep paint and fit passengers door, tailgate, sun roof.

Get and fit new interior as I sold the last one. Get a set of pepperpots.

Fit new rear side glass as it's all badly scratched.

Sort out rather annoying missfire when warm... can't trace it at the moment... suspecting head gaskets, which isn't going to be particularly nice to do with having to lift engine off mounts to remove the turbo, but I could remove head with the turbo still attached I suppose. Hoping it doesn't come to that as I really don't have the time or money for an engine apart job.Image

Misfiring....

You`ve checked the inlet gasket mate? Mine was a complete bastard to drive due to incorrect tightening by the previous owner , infact thats why I got it so cheap , I know its egg sucking , but its so obvious !?
With the panel work you go there, it`s about 3 weekends? Either way, I bet it`ll be back on the road before my V8
