wey hey its working!

Post by Supercharged Nat »

straight away it idles smoother!

ok but its not all plain sailing for me.

when i write the map ive made ot the mjl and then switch maps and write the same map to the second option (via the switch in the car) it doesnt seem to remember them.

i see this because i use the 'get config' button (next to write config) but when i use that button, a different map loads up (i assume from the mjl).

to get around this, i have the switch in one position, then ope up the map ive made and then write it to the mjl. then start the car and it works, timing changes as the rpm and load changes. but then if i swap to the other map it loads up, with a different map.

it doesnt appear to be saving the maps i write to it, even though it say it does.

any ideas?Image

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Nice work Nat

She's looking good. A unique Capri & fast aswell.

I've been a bit busy too. Got a spare gearbox at S/Pod Classic Ford 2006 and a starter off Neil at s/camp 2006 & seeing as I'm still off work I decided to stick 'em on & see how they go. I got sick of having gear oil pouring out of the box each time I take the prop out so I dragged a spare prop out of the shed & bashed the end off it to plug the box for re-fitting. Bellhousing was cracked so had to swap that over & check inside / fill with oil. Starter needed a good clean off but works fine. And while it's jacked up I'm tackling a few stone-chips etc. underneath the sills :(

A bit late now to be clattering & banging so scrub-up time.

Hey,

Yeah CTO working good here too.

About the problem you are having with your switching of maps....
I noticed an option that my be of some use. When you go into Tools -> Configurator Options, there is a bit that says "When Ignition Config Switched". Do either of the options in there help?

Also, don't forget, after you write it with the arrow button, you need to commit it to flash with the button that has the microchip on it. Otherwise it will forget when you turn the power off.Image
