Ever wondered what a brooklands looks like with ladders

Post by turbo-mike »

This one is for "Skippy" I had to take a 19 rung ladder to it's winter storage today so I used honey to take it.

ENJOY

You will be pleased to know that I did use genuine brooklands leather to protect the paint work, well nothing else would do would it.

AS you can see it is a bit grouded at my place with my cars and i had another one behind my focus van so it was a lot easyer to use honey

Nice one Mike, you should bring it to the next show like that :)

I got my CB antenna mounted on the gutter, but it needs to make metal to metal contact so I can't protect it with leather. I'm a bit worried about how long its gonna last before that bit of the gutter rots away.Image

Chris, will be doing his nut with you LOL!

His poor old show car, being used and abused.

You've been threatening to do that to Honey for nearly a year now.

Oh and a couple of Pics of skips parked next to a couple my cars LOL. Just so the rest of you get the joke, for "skippy".

You can just make out the 2.8i in the next pic.

Had a good laugh when, I seen that you had finaly used the car to carry the ladders, hope the boot was crammed full of paint tins and drop cloths.

Proper cars

Post by nigecapri »

Ones that get used, that's what it's REALLY about. It's nice to go to a car museum & see the first one of a model with delivery mileage etc. but a twenty odd year old car in showroom nick, 10 thou on the clock with mirrors under it so you can see how posh it is, is an absolute waste of money to buy it, time to polish it and space to park it in.

Well mine's certainly been used, not necessarily mileage wise but the stuff I've shifted in it and on it is amazing. Biggest thing was a flat packed 7ft x 5 ft shed that was forklifted on to the roof. It was only 1/2 mile down the road but the look on the fork lift driver's face when I brought the car round for him to load was quite a picture!
