There are some cheap n cheerful ones on the bay, would something like this be up to the job?

I only need to do the rear pipes, though might renew the whole car for peace of mind.

...buy a kit for one job? Go into your local Ford dealer, they will make up pipes to any length you want in nice flexible copper you can shape yourself.

Re: Brake pipe flaring kits...
Rich,
As with all tools spend as much as you can afford + a bit more.
Cheap kits for flaring the pipes are in no way as good, full stop!
I was quoted £120 for a kit nearly 18 years back, I've got a half decent one that cost a fraction of the cost. But it will never give as good a job and is only good for the softer copper pipes, not the harder mix.
I've used both and can see why the expensive ones cost what they do!
Some companies used to offer a ready made pipe kit all cut to length, flared and ready to fit if you put the bends in. Not sure what the Capri situation is, but the old Motor Factors would make them up if your stuck, that or any good back street garage.
Hope the above information helps.

It'll only do single flares not double
Worst case scenario Rich find a weekend when you're ready to make the pipes and i'll come up one sunday with all works gear and lend a hand---------------

Go and see Shanksy at Jacks on the howard, he'll make the pipes up for you in the soft copper, can do the new stuff but its meant to be a biatch to bend. Don't forget to lie and tell him you're a BRF member and the discount will be available too!!
