Be honest ?
No getting away from the fact that it looks awesome and will probably sound awesome and go like the clappers but it's not what I would choose to do
Best of luck with it though, love to know what the results are when it's all done.

you would be suprised at how little it obscures your view...

should pass mot no problems as technically speaking they can only fail the windscreen being damaged...whats in front of the windscreen is not open to be tested....in other words TECHNICALLY you could put a brick wall on your bonnet and they cant fail it on the mot....

that picture is a bit misleading, theres quite a lot of wrap on the water pump pulley, will be going electric pump when im all finished, with the new bottom end anyway....

Bloody hell! thats mental! Its obvious youve put some serious time and effort into that beauty! I like it. It is likely to evolve as time goes on, because youl notice things your not happy with, or you think should be different. when i first did mine i thought brilliant! but as time has gone on i changed things!

I think if i had been in your situation with a v engine id probably have done what the americans do, charger in the V, carbs on top of it (but this is just me). what you've done there is a big achievement and so long as it produces the numbers who cares?

good work!

Is it going to have any sort of bonnet or are the whole works open to the elements all the time cos it would worry me leaving it anywhere.
