I've been fascinated by the pyestock pics, I'd never heard of the place till now. My brothers, been looking too with interest, he shot-peens engine parts for rolls-royce so its right up his street. Anyways, I left Newcastle to live in Leeds 2 years ago, and found links that have led me to some interesting stuff. A hidden cinema inside the shopping centre, a world of underground tunnels in Leeds centre. Bunkers in the local woods..... I'm hooked now
Yeah there's some really intruiging empty places around..
..once so vital, like asylums, or unique, like Pyestock.. and now shelved, crumbling, useless, outdated and desolate.
A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into their construction, but abandonment is like the retirement, gently decaying and consumed by plants and animals. And smashed up by kids.

..which you may have seen already. Better photos (and more of them) than myself, plus loads more information. Enjoy.

I'm the one who leaves all those shoes in the carriageway.
