Just back from DICC, fantastic weekend
good to put more names to more faces!
had a great time, great show, will discuss more later, off to bed after sleeping in the back of a 106.
on the plus side, my 1hr journey home took me 43 minutes! result!

awesome weekend :)
Cheers everyone, was a blinder. Loads of stunning cars and booze, always a winner I'm thrilled that my old girl behaved herself, and I managed the trip on I reckon a little under £45 of fuel, which is a lot better than i'd hoped!

Re: awesome weekend :)
Great to meet some of the guys from here at last. Really pleased that I made the effort to go. Also pleased that the car ran fine all the way home after it's little hissy fit on the M1 yesterday.

Good to meet up with you Ant & Lee & Stefan.
Great to see a few mates and chill out for a day or two.
34.16mpg for 289 miles at 70mph, 0.24 less than the Weber but I did boot it up the Lincoln drag & almost kept up with a vectra of some description (de-badged)
Thanks to the MK gang for hosting another good event.
p.s.
Big smile all the way home

another resounding success methinks
another blinder in my book.the ole m.k. gang did themselves proud again the music went down a storm but must admit a let down by glyn..........................
he didn`t want to do "the kevin and perry" with me to "all i wanna do is do it".plus always good to see the familiar and the new faces as well.
the cars were once again wide and varied examples of the marque and a few (inc mine) that were not quite capri`s but this has now become a real good social gathering and not just a car show.
keep o doing it m.k........cheers
chris a.k.a. "riceman".
oh and dave(340truck) sorry `bout the screeching air con belt mate.

Well done MK!
It was another great show. And I do agree with some as it's just as much of a social gathering now as it is a show.
Thanks for all your support on saturday night, those who held me upright... ;-)Sorry to the MK girl who i fell onto on the dance floor.....Whoops!
Congratulations to Simon and a big cheer for Nigel on winning their trophies.
It was great to meet new people in person and see that the Laser Page group is all up for a laugh!

The tent saga is what legends are made of Dave!
The exhaust system sounded pretty good as you left the car park, the car should be great once it drives in a straight line

Pleased you all enjoyed it!!!!
I'm genuinely pissed off I couldn't make it, looks like another blinding show. To top it all, I was going to go to Bulgaria today, but now I'm not. Oh well....
Yeah looks like a great time..
..I would have come, had finances and mechanical longetivity etc not been a severe factor. Biting my nails waiting for the next time though!
And Mark, bring the pry.

the tent saga as follows
dave armed with his new auto opening single pole tent.............
got it up ok but the bringing it down bit was a sight for sore eyes then trying with dean to fold it small enough into the the back of his cappa was a joy to behold.
to say we were p*****g ourselves was an understatement.
nice one dave

oh yeah one of those things that comes as a giant disk? Lol yeah i've had a fair share of trouble with those! You just got to hope for good weather, good friends and a shedload of luck to get it down right. The trick is to twist it in on itself as you pack it...
