I'm absolutely stunned.... I'm only home from gigging and this is the first I heard of it.

He was responsible for raising the popularity of rallying during the mid nineties with his mega driving and media work. He really got me interested in WRC.

First Burns now McRae. It's an absolute tragedy!

I'm genuinely upset by this news.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Just got back from a great time at DICC and my wife tells me this and then says a Hurricane crashed killing the pilot at Shoreham, kind of took the edge off things

McRae at X Games

Post by Sonic »

Im still in shock about Colin. Its so unbelievable that he has died in this way.

I saw this clip on youTube from the X Games in America where he was driving a Subaru. Its not the type of Rally we are use to seeing him in. But its Colin McRae driving the only way he knows how.

A true Legend of motorsport.

Thats an amazing video, it's been said, a true legend. My thoughts go out to the families.
