ive found that my audio amp is drawing a current when its supposed to be switched off (by the head unit). its completely flattened my battery!
has anyone else experienced these kind of problems (i know Haydn did) and what did you find was the cause? i should point out that its given years of flawless service up until now.
thanks.
"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Kill switch
Being the old cynic I am, I never trusted the head unit's remote kill, so I opted for a hardwired simple kill switch in the glove box, direct to the amp's live. Probably should have stuck a relay in it as well, but it all worked. I learnt that after a couple of flat batteries myself.

no mate didnt
like i said its been fine for a few years now, then a couple of days and its as flat as a witches tit!
i think the head unit is either not switching the amp off when its supposed to, or the relay in the amp is stuck on?
i havent taken it out or done any testing yet but i will do.
cheers for the input
