So Tom/Glyn, what is the spec of that engine then? Id love to get to 130bhp when mine is eventually going.

When you say "built an engine", I imagine new rods and crank, etc...

Mine is a standard 2.0 with a 4 branch and 32/36, standard cam. Id like to get a fast road cam, do a bit of diy porting, keep the 32/36 and get it set up properly as per.

Oh, and ive got the leccy igntion and a kenlowe (if you believe that a leccy fan gives you more power).

Should give you 2-3bhp ish. If you go for same cam you should see easy 130bhp.Worth getting an injection head if you can though. Image

also ensure a vernier pulley is used

(on the cam) the bottom end doesnt need to be new, just in good nick! if the motors done 100,000 then itl benefit froma freshen up- new bearing (crank and big and end) and new piston rings- possibly a rebore and new pistons too (depends on how worn the bores are)

thats pretty much my spec except ive got the supercharger bolted to it too (and a full 2.5" exhaust system & megajolt). it made 146 on the first run. now its time to tune the carb properly and make the most of the ecu.

if you go 2.1, 38dgas, stage 3 head you could see nearly 160bhp.
bigger carbs 40's/45's even more...Image

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.
