How To Post Pics

Postby pbar » Wed Jul 12, 2017 12:38 pm

So many people seem to struggle with adding pics in their posts, and it can seem anything but straightforward. Paul G has found a very easy site, so in the hope of helping someone, here is a quick How-to, on posting pics in your message -

This assumes you have a pic on your computer (for example on your desktop) already -

1. Go to https://postimages.org/ (you do not have to be a member or login)
2. Click Choose Images
3. Browse to the pic you wish to use and double click it (or click once and click Open)
4. Copy the Direct Link in the list (i.e. click the symbol on the right or highlight it and press Control-c)
5. Open up a new message window on here (as if to type your reply/new message, or whatever, as you normally would)
6. Type your message and when done click the Img button and then press Control-v (this will paste the link you previously copied in step 4)
7. Press Preview to see how it will look or Submit, and you're done.

Guess it's a matter of perspective.
For us a ballache is logging in every day to monitor the forum, keep it spam free (700+ spurious member requests in the last 5 months), organise an annual get together for anyone who might be interested, deal with pms, monitor posts zzzzz
So, unfortunately we do not feel that asking peeps to use a picture hosting site that enables then to share images anywhere and helps keep this place free and easier to deal with is too demanding but apologies if we are out of step.

Seriously though, I for one appreciate the all the unseen effort that admin put into the running of this forum.

No i help run the smaxowners club and we charge people £10 to join as we run a tight ship and the cost of servers and stuff is a nightmare. Also Russia and the Chinese are always trying to hack the site .

But we load our pictures the same also with photo rip off wanting money we have lost some very good data .

Keep up the good work as this is a great little site
