He does do recovery/call outs, so worth a try. Feel free to mention Paul with the red Capri if you should phone him.

Re: Any knowledgable folk around the North West?
I do know of a small garage/mechanic in the Stockport area if that's any good to you, who I would recommend all day long. Although he has not done any notable work on my Capri (as I've been able to do so myself for the most part so far), I have taken other cars to him. He's good, reliable, takes car...

Re: Black Interior?
There is a member on here who has done some great work on his car, including freshening up the interior with manily dye I think. Have a search for Mellow-Yellow.

You might be better off posting it in the parts wanted section, it may help.

You might be better off putting this in the parts for sale section, as this one is for cars.

Re: Rear Bump Stops
Thanks for your reply Martin. I think you're right and the mounts are still there, but I just need to double check that. How were the stops originally fixed, I always thought they were screwed in position but I notice that some people do 'bond' them.

Rear Bump Stops
Has anyone used these rear bump stops - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Capri-MK3-2-8i-Rear-Axle-Bump-Stop-Bushes-Polyurethane-/390379501317 Awful colour but seem quite cheap. CCI sell what look to be better (black) ones at about £38, so just wondering about them as they are on my to do list for in t...

Re: Storage Prep: Things that get forgotten
They will easily scurry up an axle stand and find their way in. I found one dead in a bucket once, which was high up on a free standing shelf, the frame of which is made of smooth tubular steel. Your traps will catch them though. As mentioned, I have good results with those little tunnel traps, whic...

Re: Taking out facia and dials
Since doing it the first time, I now feel it's not that bad really. It's all very easy to take apart and the Capri boot space is the perfect size for laying all the pieces/fixings out nice and neat. It's very straightforward getting at it all too, I'd hate to have to take a dash out of a modern car.

Re: Drivers seat refurbishment.
That seems to be a really good price. There are many people around who will repair seats/car upholstery, but I always thought that they would charge much more than that.

Re: Taking out facia and dials
On mine it didn't look like the dash would actually come out without lowering the steering column a little. Just that quarter of an inch or so made all the difference, don't undo them completely. The ashtray itself just pulls out. It might seem stiff, but it will carefully just pop out.

Re: Storage Prep: Things that get forgotten
I'm no rodent expert, but I'm inclined to think that you have to watch out for them at this time of year, as with all the cold, wet and bad weather they will be looking for somewhere warm, dry and cosy to hide away. Or, to put it another way, somewhere dry to destroy things, make a mess and cover in...

Re: Brake Pipe Tools
All brilliant replies and info, thanks very much everyone. Think I will opt then, for one of the flaring tool hand held kits like a Draper/Silverline one, as has been said it will only be occasional use. And just bend it freehand, forming around aerosol cans or whatever is at hand at the right size ...

That's brilliant that you will pass that on to someone who may need it Nathan, great stuff.
