:agree: In terms of looks, definitely, although that leaves you with a major task if you change your mind and decide that the car looks better as Henry intended. :)

thanks for that information mate. I did not know my capri was registered in Hull. Nice bit of history I did not know before now :) Nick, I'm full of information, but none of it's been any use until now! ;) Oh, and this site helps for finding out where cars were registered: http://www.wolfbane.com/v...

Re: correct rpm

Must be terrific to be able to just "drive" for miles with "countryside and farm animals" on each side of road. Hi Nick, That aspect of rural life is nice, and there are no speed cameras and few Police to spoil the fun! :burnout: The downside is, it's a 36 mile round trip to the...

Nick,
I want to know where in London you can get up to 60mph? Everytime I've been there the traffic seems to be going about 10mph at best, even on the M25! :)

Re: Lymm Historic Transport Day 2014

Hi Mike, Fantastic photos, thanks for sharing. This looks like a great show with a high standard of exhibits, and a good turnout of Capris. Is that your first time exhibiting your car? I bet you had many positive comments! Sometimes it's good to attend these smaller shows as it's more of a surprise ...

Re: Taking bumpers etc off?

Have got plain ones on car now (see members car forum) which I think look really nice without any advertising or logos, just the very tiny legal print hardly noticeable unless very close up. Nick, Yes your 'plain' plates do look very good indeed. Loosing the Batchelors plates is no great loss, I do...

Hi,
I think it's fantastic what you do to the cars, and it's great to see them restored to their former glory for new owners to enjoy. Great photos too.
Although it does explain why everyone else says that Capris are a rare sight on the roads these days.........they're all in Doncaster! ;)

Can't find any authentic empirical evidence...so forum based anecdotal evidence it is! Hi, That's all we've got to go on, so it must do! I can't find any sales figures of specific models either. I would have thought that 500 made in total seems too low. In the Steve Saxty book he states that sales ...

I love haggling. I was on holiday in Spain a few years back and my mom wanted some sun glasses, he started at 50 euros. I got them for 5 in the end lol. I'm not one for confrontation, but when it comes to saving money, I can make an exception! :) It's possible to haggle on the high street in this c...

Re: Do you get wheel wobble on your Capri?

Just wondering, does everyone that has a wobble have the weights on the insides? Well, having no weights on the outside of the rim won't help. As I stated on my thread on the subject a while back, if you don't have weights fitted on the outside rim effectively you can only balance the inside half o...
