Re: A funny forum passtime...

I wonder how the members would feel if/when they pop back though and see that they're being talked about? :? Probably the same way that current members feel when they have their punctuation errors criticised? Besides, the person being discussed, "Leafy" is clearly an account set up with t...

Re: A funny forum passtime...

Today's winner should have gone a lot further than it did, I remember that thread, but I don't remember the colossal levels of utter tripe that the birthday boy contributed to it, nor "the owner" (yeah right) of that stolen Capri chastising us for not dobbing in this Simon Cox guy to the ...

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check out Edd's book.
It would be good to read about what went on behind the scenes on Wheeler Dealers.

So now we have cringe inducing child friendly ones. Boooo. Give me people being electrocuted by substations and mangled by trains any day! I always remember the "Robbie" film that was shown in schools. The one where the children were playing on railway tracks and one of them got his foot ...

Do you have a pic, I have a few bits & bobs which may suit? There are some operational details and a plumbing schematic diagram on this thread: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=34&t=1214521 I assume the valve required is shown at the bottom of the photo in the first p...

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, March 30/31st 2024

**Update** After much work over the last couple of weeks we are confirming that we will go ahead with the new dates of the 25th and 26th May. Thanks for the heads up, Andy. I will hopefully still be able to make the revised dates, but not all of my favourite local shows have publicised their dates ...

My favourite one for being incredibly patronising was the "Go left" from a few years ago. Look, it's "Les" from Phoenix Nights!

Re: Radiator/expansion tank cap

To be fair, car cassettes were by far the worst, I don`t recall ever having problems on a `proper` home machine. I guess the in-car environment didn`t help: cold, damp, vibration. I wonder if the cassette being laid horizontal in the car had anything to do with it? They might have been designed to ...

I remember doing that too!

The rapture you experience when you cut out the straggly bit and crudely stick the two good ends together with a tiny bit of sellotape and then manage to record the majority of the old compilation onto a fresh C90 in the other deck (yes did that!). Me too. And it was hugely satisfying! :D Andrew.

playing that special tape in the car or at a party... real shame the modern kids will never have that special, hand made personal music item ever again. Yes. it's all good as far as we know. It's dropped off the radar as it's been exported.
