Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, March 30/31st 2024
I've been watching some of the Little Britain repeats, that certainly wouldn't get on T/V now  Surprised the repeats are on :? They were out of favour for a while. From Google: "In June 2020, the show was removed from various UK streaming services due to its use of blackface. In March 202...

Re: Whining
I have a, ahem, GCSE English <sips from glass of bubbly and titters in drawing room> Whats "Bubbly and titters" ? This reminds me... A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon
Tim is.... who knows? I remember him from the Balls of Steel TV series. I would imagine Tim's part on Car SOS has been added to make the programme appeal to the masses. I agree though, I wouldn't have thought that anybody actually believes the blagging of parts and services to be genuine. Why even ...

Re: bumper
wanted front bumper irons and rear mounting brackets mk 3 :crying: My first port of call would be Martin at Caprigear or Capri Club international. In the unlikely event that they don't have any decent original parts, there's always the Magnum remanufactured rear bumper brackets. https://www.magnumc...

Re: Whining
If the noise changes when you come on and off the accelerator, I would be inclined to think the source could be diff related, perhaps the first thing to do would be to check the oil level.
It could also be worn gears or a bearing in the diff.
Andrew.

Re: A funny forum passtime...
People that ask for help/advice and don't have the manners to say thanks or update a thread with the outcome are the worst on any forum  If somebody works out a solution for their issues, it would be nice if they updated the thread so that we know they don't need any further assistance, but a...

Dr Brooklands
Hi,
Does anybody know the Dr Brooklands website address?
An Internet search returns no relevant results, I assume Dr B has taken the site down but I would like to be certain.
A shame if the site has disappeared as it was very useful for research purposes.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew.

It's quite an eye-opener to see what is lurking under the surface!
Still, it all looks good now. Presumably you are just having the repaired bits painted, not the whole car?

That's great!
I admire people with the artistic ability to be able to create something like that.

Re: A funny forum passtime...
It can often be troublesome asking for payments for an online service when so much online is free, especially if it's a forced donation. Nothing comes for free. Don't most free to use websites gain revenue by selling advertising? I believe that a minimum subscription fee of at least £5 per annum fo...

Re: 3.0S
At the Mathewson's price it was a restoration project, at the price it is now I would be expecting something ready to drive that needed some work as and when needed. I agree with that. When I first read the listings, I got mixed up and thought the Matthewson's sale price was what the new seller was...

As you've already donated you can have one as a freebie.

Sorry Andrew, I`d assumed that was clear: I do apologize for any perceived association ;) No worries! The more I think about the advert the less it makes sense to me. The roll cage, motorsport-type electrics isolator and the CC Racing Developments sticker on the boot lid all suggest a modifi...

There's usually around 30 requests a day that I ignore because they are not genuine. 30 a day! That's crazy! Why not suggest that every application is supported by a £5 Paypal donation? That would help support the running of the forum and weed out any non-genuine requests. I don't believe that to b...
