Re: Oil presure gauge installation; how to?

If you are using the 6 clock Capri instrument cluster then you don't need the oil pressure switch as there is no place for it. Replace the switch with the take off for the oil pressure pipe which will then go to the guage on the instrument cluster. I have the connector which screws into the engine b...

Re: anyone ever sued for a fraudulent MOT?

I must admit that any car I look at on Ebay is bought with a view that it will be a breaker. There's so much shit out there being passed off as not bad or easily restorable and the large majority of cars now that are not top quality all have some degree of "history" That's the thing with E...

I 've got a set of dark brown Ghia seats, front and rear and the cards to go with them. I have my own Couriers so that wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Rear Drums

In order to fit the 2.8i shoes and drums you will also need the 2.8i backplates. You can use the 2.0 handbrake levers but I would use the 2.8i wheel cylinders.

Re: Strut tops.... pictures attached.... opinions please

Considering that it's a pinto shell and they don't have the additional top plates anyway it's pretty obvious to me that those plates have just been gobbed on over rot, the passenger side is even rotting through the repair plate.
Only thing to do is get rid of all the nasty plates and start again.

Re: which way do i turn the mixture screw on a 2.8i to lean

Anticlockwise to lean off but I would take it to a test station and get it on their emissions tester and adjust it while it's there, that way you will get a print out of both co and hydrocarbons.

Was it high on the CO or on the hydrocarbons and did you check both banks?
