Re: ford 302 conversion

Yes, but not exactly, there is a kit to put a 5.0L in any Capri,
however, there isn't one to put an injected 5.0L into a Capri, so
there would be some work for you to do... Actually, a lot of work
for you to figure out the injection system...

A note from one of the contestants... Capri-Listers, the Team50North Capri (a 2.0L Mk3) and crew will be hosting a bit of partying at London's ACE Cafe Friday evening, July 10. Please stop in, we'll need the boost from the Capri clan, as we leave the next morning on a 12,500 to 18,000 mile trip from...

Re: 2.3 pinto engine

Quite a nice engine, heavy, but capable of good HP with the right parts. Will mount to the 2.0L bellhousing with the right dowels, have hydraulic followers, no valves to adjust, just about as reliable as an anvil when taken proper care of right up to 20psi of boost... That's where you're spending bi...

Nice one Steve! :) What were the final figures? Oops, Forgot that bit of info, 305HP, 307T... filled it with 91 octane Whats the deal with your fuel over there? Our regular fuel is 95 octane, and the premium stuff is 97. In the US we use the RON+MON divided by 2, so the regular is 87 octane, and su...

On the Dyno(rolling roads)

Last weekend, hit the dyno(rolling road) with the Capri, all I did was pull it out of the garage, filled it with 91 octane, and drove down to the shop, the dyno is a Mustang 1750, it can load the rollers, which will give more accurate HP/TQ #s... http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Ford-Drag-TeamStan...

Re: Misfire under load 2000 - 4000 rpm

Damn i just had a thought- what if the boost pressure is holding open a valve/ valves? ive fitted larger inlet valves meaning larger surface area on the back of the valve, combine that with boost pressure, is the spring strong enough to shut the valve quickly / seal the valve in its seat? You're bo...
