Re: First meet of 2024
Nice little gathering, and it's good to be able to get out and about so early in the year. :D Your XR looks fantastic! Andrew. Thanks Andrew. It was a bit chilly but stayed dry, and a nice 40 mile run this morning. This was instead of the Weston Super Mare show that should have been today, but thin...

Re: 2.8i master cylinder
For any new/used parts I always went to Caprigear first, and on the rare occasion that Martin couldn't help then Tickover! In that case I found these two options; https://caprigear.co.uk/2-8-injection-ate-brake-master-cylinder-refurbished/ https://www.tickover.co.uk/shop/contents/en-uk/d64.html 2.8 ...

Re: Who Remembers?
Many weekends through the 80s it was usually a music or horror video  Ahhhh that great feeling of browsing through the video rental shop, and the excitement of heading home with your choice. Same kind of feeling you'd get when going home to play your new record shop purchase. :agree: Paul Wit...

And dont get me started on electric handbrakes        Exactly - WHY???????? I like watching the fail videos of people driving cars into water that's far too deep. Some need to be winched out, and some of them have locked wheels from the electrics goi...

Re: First drive in an MG
SUV are not for me! Had the converstion with the Mrs recently there is nothing new today that we would want to own. So will be keeping the 2012 1.6 Focus Zetec petrol that does well over 40mpg on a run and is pretty good around town etc. It's old enough not have alot of tech crap you dont need and h...

Re: Who Remembers?
Magpie, I do yes :) As with Swap Shop and Tiswas everyone seemed to be in one camp or the other. It was Blue Peter for me. Watched them all but Blue Peter and Tiswas were my favourites. Tiswas had some good bands of the time on there, oh and Sally James :D HOW was another good one. Don't suppose th...

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, March 30/31st 2024
Currently we have 6 cars for Sunday 26th. That's great! Hopefully the later than planned date will increase the likelihood of decent weather. If I remember correctly, the last two years were dry and sunny but very cold. Andrew. As I always say Andrew, anything but rain :) Like alot of the country i...

Re: Shed & Buried Classic Cars
Love the Motorbike show. Millyard is a genius. Sam and Guy are also very clever guys. Henry is unlike most " presenters" he knows his limitations but genuinely loves all things mechanical. Very nicely summed up Martin :) Think this is the video mentioned earlier in this thread https://www...

Re: Car Books
I like Edd, as Mr Millyard in the other thread seems like a very nice bloke.
Richard Hammond often comes across as annoying on TV, not sure if he is the same in person.

Plenty more on Youtube that should link with this one.
Always liked the Z1 and to me it's one of the nicest looking bikes ever made!

Re: Shed & Buried Classic Cars
Anything that Allen Millyard does is at another level, I watched him make the V6 Kawasaki Two Stroke out of 2 Triples on You Tube. It was the way he started by using a hacksaw on a couple of crankcases and joined them up. Even the Exhausts he makes look like they were made in a Factory not a shed. ...

Re: Weston super Mare Pageant of Transport, March 30/31st 2024
**Update** After much work over the last couple of weeks we are confirming that we will go ahead with the new dates of the 25th and 26th May. Thanks for the heads up, Andy. I will hopefully still be able to make the revised dates, but not all of my favourite local shows have publicised their dates ...

Re: Classic Tesla for sale...
Last time I went on the dodgems, it was the opposite experience, the saddo jobsworth ringleader, or whatever he's called, kept barking orders to anyone breaking formation like a camp commandant. They should have been called the 'drive carefullyems'. I ran into him and broke his ankles, then he coll...
