Sounds like a loose speedo cable to me. Does your speedo bounce while driving or is it under reading the speed?

2yrs back my uncle found he had the same, after collapsing at the wheel driving home, he`s ok now and just watches his sugar with the daily jab, he`s back on form now and back on the beer albeit a little less than before. you really need to get the co levels sorted while its warm, I used to set my 2.8 at around 1.3, the tiniest turn of the mixture screw can shoot the mixture up to 3.8 and you`d not notice until you start the car the next morning, sounds like yours is to weak by the way, the exhaust isn`t a problem a...

depends which xr4i engine? if its a early 2.8 then yes no problems its the same as the capri 2.8 engine, if its the 2.9 then again yes but it`ll need mods to the engine bay for the MAF sensors. If you want to make it 4x4 then prepare yourself for a bit of work there, I considered it once then looked...

Well, that engine is actually a ford engine too, found in the cougar and found in the Jag x type and S type, the s type is RWD and used a getrag gearbox, so its possible to get it as RWD. Bet you`ll need the whole wiring loom stripping out though.

Pinto or cologne? could be the oil cooler if its a cologne..
