Re: Capri keyring

Hmmm not sure about those - the one I remember had 'Made in England' on the back of the metal fob and a patent number on the leather. Not for sale but I have one https://i.postimg.cc/nL59V6wY/P-20230921-080109.jpg My first one from many years ago fell apart and is now a steering wheel centre in the...

Although he is not on here these days Simon is still on the Admin team on here, he is a good bloke. You shouldn't have any problems. Simon "standard_man" Hinsley is it Peter? I never knew him by his surname! That's the chap Tom. We often don't do surnames do we. I have to rack my brain so...

Re: Laser + GL and now a 3.0S!

Had to do my driver rear mountings a couple of years ago Peter, Very interesting, if depressing, read. When you said "the other mounting", I assume that was the other rear one for the driver`s seat, not the `same` one on the passenger`s side? Also, what sort of mileage had that car covere...

Re: Laser + GL and now a 3.0S!

can answer this on Danny's behalf - yes it is a seat mounting area. Common Ford problem. Bringer of good tidings - first loose flywheels now cracks in the floor... :o Great... is this one particular mounting point (driver side, rear left for eg) , or are any liable to break? Thanks for your h...

I should know better! Yesterday I was fixing this rot I found by poking the the inner wing https://i.postimg.cc/15X3yPfK/P-20230910-110048.jpg and today I noticed some rusty colour paint under the headlight surround so poked and prodded and now have this to sort as well! https://i.postimg.cc/N0ct2wf...

Re: Chassis plate help!

I'm inclined to agree with Andrew. Chassis details are not interchangeable. Presumably you could transfer the old registration to the new shell unless the the new one is older than the original.

Re: 2.8 injection engine re build

Thanks guys.. the rad cap feels tight to me without any movement. I took the rad outlet hose off and I noticed quite a bit of coolant then came out of the expansion tank. It stopped and I checked the expansion tank level - it was exactly up to the mark. I looked in the rad… it was quite low, just u...

Despite having correct new caps, coolant still pisses out the rad cap. I got from the club, but has anyone else had similar issues? Are they any good or is there a better version that seals better? Spoke with a fellow owner and he’s just put sealant on it which I’m reluctant to do. Seems strange. I...

Re: fuel pump

Saw a Capri in Ireland!

At Blessington Lakes today in County Wicklow and saw a nice silver MkIII. Unfortunately it was pulling out of a car park as I drove in so no chance to speak to the driver 😕 Looked very nice though.
